News of the day!!
Why did Aamir check out the Avatar promo?
A source present when the actor visited the multiplex reveals, "Aamir did come to the multiplex. It is a known fact that he is a stickler for perfection and was there to check the arrangements being made for the premiere. But it is a common practice with the bigger stars. Even Mr Bachchan came to the multiplex four to five times before Paa's premiere to check the place out." When asked if Aamir checked out the promo of Avatar, the source insists, "He did not."

When SRK, Aamir recited poems for Sachin
Mukesh Ambani's party in honour of Sachin Tendulkar also saw actors, international models performing on a glass-topped pool
Mukesh Ambani's residence at Cuffe Parade was hopping with the who's who of the city last night. They were gathered there for a bash in honour of Sachin Tendulkar for completing 20 years of cricket.
The party had dances by Bollwood stars, actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan reciting poems for Sachin, cricketers and others guests praising the Little Master for his feat.
Rajeev Shukla, vice president of BCCI, said, "The party was arranged for Sachin for completing 20 years of cricket. It was a great function. Everyone's praises for Sachin, made him emotional."
Aamir Khan, who came to the party along with his wife Kiran, director Raju Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, said, "I recited the lines 'Khudi ko kar buland itna ki har takhdir se pehle khuda bande se khud pooche, bata teri raza kya hai' for Sachin. The lines fit him very well."
Shah Rukh Khan recited a poem that his daughter wrote for Sachin.

Here are stills from Phoonk 2
Here's looking at stills from Phoonk 2. Ram Gopal Verma recently blogged about public anticipation over his next production. The point he tried to make was that like Bhoot, Phoonk 2 would be a "scare for the senses".
"Milind Gadagkar, the writer of Phoonk and director of Phoonk 2 came up with the idea of the sequel and the opening sequence itself made me jump up in my seat", writes Ramu.
"The intention," he adds, "was to just scare the audience's pants off." Touche!
