For the record, the last award karan johar won was in 1998. That's a good 12 years ago. Hrithik won last year for jodhaa akbar not srk.

ReplyDeleteAgree on OLLO - Abhay was almost a space filler there and Lucky one was amazing.
ReplyDeleteI applaud Abhay for being a part of many unusual small films that were very good. But that does not make him a great actor.
Normally I would say, go Abhay - but did he win any of the awards? So Stardust is Star fare, Zee is Zee Fare and so on and so forth? Maybe I will wait until he wins a National Award, but wait - he is not part of the Sharmila family either :-)
ReplyDeleteI like Abhay Deol, but he is a classic case of actor who seems more than he is, simply because of the films he is in. Another example IMO is Konkona, she has blown me away in one film so far - Mr. and Mrs. Iyer. I can understand actors like Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Naseer Shah saying this - but Abhay?
