I know know too many theories about end of world, and all, but this one seems scaringly possible. In 1999 asteroid RQ36 was discovered which is now believed to be on the trajectory which might lead it to hit our planet, and this asteroid is believed to be the same size of the one which wiped off dinosaurs from our planet.
So if its not nukes, climate change, Mayans, ice age or Roland Emmerich, RQ36 might be the one.
