Ayodhya verdict: Hindus get temple, Muslims get mosque, and a ground to wrestle in between

In an historic judgement Allahbad high court delivered the biggest verdict in the history of India. Ram Janmabhoomi, Ayodhya, the land of Babri mosque, was always a political issue. Today after countless dates, 8,500 pages of the high court bench said that the site belongs to all 3 parties involved. With Waqf board, Nirmohi Akhada, and Ram himself getting 1/3rd land each.

The process of division of land will start in 3 months, but everyone knows that the case will go for appeal in Supreme Court of India. Bench even agreed that land is undoubtedly Ram birthplace, and Babar was the one who built mosque on the ruins of the temple. Did Babur demolish the temple? Justice Khan said he did not, he just constructed on the ruins, with same materials of the ruins. Whereas other  judges didn't address the issue.

Who will make the temple on behalf on lord Rama, how the contrversial land will be divided, what about Nirmohi Akhada's role? These are the issues will be addressed later on, but for now court gave a very smart decision. Waqf board's plea of this land be given only to Muslim worshipers was also dismissed on the ground that the place has always been a place to worship for both Hindus and Muslims, and looks like court wants people to recreate the history.

In the end, bench truly tried to pave a way for everyone to stay together as Indians, not just Hindus and Muslims. Hope the nation reacts positively to it. Even if there are disagreements, they should be addressed and expressed in civil manner.

  1. Till now really pleasantly surprised by the political leadership, no one is screaming, celebrating, or accusing any party.

Everyone is saying the same thing, do not consider is as a victory or defeat, its not about celebrations or depression.

First few hours are important, and I guess those have passed without any major or even minor incident. Hopefully thats how the situation is later as well.

And moreover everyone is going to Supreme Court, hence no point in reading too much in this judgement anyways.

  2. i am not a hindu nor a muslim... i don't care much about religious fights..those been happening since mankind came to being
anyhow.. it seems to me Ram mandir was there before the masjid was built...now if some body takes over your house and happens to live there for centuries.. does that make it intruder's house.
anyhow.. i rather have a hosptital or school built on the disputed grounds:)

  3. I agree with youm Moody, that we need more hospitals than temples or mosques, but then we can not make hospitals on every disputed land.

Else there are thousands of plots which are disputed in Delhi itself. Court has to decide whom it belongs to.

HC has clearly given its orders on whom the land belongs to, and now I wish that VHP, who is the trust of making Ram temple over there, makes a hospital there. But it will be their decision alone. No court can or should force them into doing anything.
