To join in the Rekha-fest going on in the blogosphere , here is my list of her top ten songs:
1. An absolute masterpiece. Rekha was elegance personified in this one!
2. Another classic performance!
3. When shooting in Switzerland and tulip gardens were not passé in Bollywood!
4. Wow...what a beautiful score! The set is so vintage 70s...the dacoits, the heroine dancing to save her hero and the hero galloping on the horse endlessly :-)
5. At the height of her affair with Amitabh. Lyrics eerily close to real life!
6. Absolutely loved this movie! Rekha at her naughtiest best!
7. Who other than Rekha can be such a sultry siren at 51?
8. A superb composition by Gulzaar and an award winning performance by Rekha.
9. Rekha's pairing with Jeetendra was quite successful and this one was quite a rage back then!
10. A strong heroine-centric role gave Rekha her Best Actress award with this movie. The negative? You have to tolerate her in buck teeth for the first half of the movie before she transforms into a dazzling diva. But, believe me, it's worth the wait!

I would have added ALL the songs of Umrao but my favorite is Yeh Kya Jagah hai Doston, it has the ability to bring tears to my eyes. And I absoultely love the Parineeta song, and Rekha's ability to entice no matter what age...
