The Best Song of 2009?


Yes we are still waiting for De Dhana Dhan, PAA and Three Idiots, but the music for all these films is OUT. So it is time to elect a winner in several categories. Please let me know if I have forgotten any!

    I agree with you on Iktara, but still it seems more somber than happy, though not exactly sad. And I disagree on Chiggy Wiggy - I have grown to like that one quite a bit.

    For me the BEST of the BEST is undoubtedly Aarambh, still gives me goosebumps.

    Chiggy Wiggy - I only like Sonu Nigam's part. Fiqrana and Rehnuma were way better songs in the album. Rehnuma, obviously being my favorite. :)

    Agreed, Aarambh is a fantastic song. Even I have goosebumps whenever I listen to that line -
    "Jis Kavi Ki Kalpana me Zindagi Ho Prem Geet, Us Kavi Ko Aaj Tum Nakaar Do"
    "Jeet ki Hawas Nahi, Kisi pe Koi wash Nahi, Kya Zindagi hai thorron pe maar do, Maut Ant Hai Nahi Toh Maut Se Bhi Kyun Darein, Ye Jaake Aasman me Dahaad do"

    Amazing lyrics. Piyush Mishra deserves an award for it if at all he is the lyricist of this song. I read somewhere that the credit for the lyrics goes to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh(RSS). So I don't know exactly.
